This combined program enables multi-skilling into two diverse career paths- information systems and law, providing increased marketability to multiple areas of expertise. The Bachelor of Laws equips students with the professional legal skills and knowledge which are required by the Legal Profession Admission Board for admission to legal practice in New South Wales and to solve legal and non-legal problems. Students can undertake specialised study in topical local and international law. The Bachelor of Information Systems integrates the applications of computing and information systems in the context of a global business environment. Students collaborate with an organisation in its industry based setting, on a project to solve a real community-based problem. The project involves the design, development, deployment and further management of the information system.

This program is designed for high achieving law students in the Bachelor of Information Systems/ Bachelor of Laws program who wish to undertake an extended level of study and research in Law. An honours degree indicates academic excellence in a professional context and, as an Australian Qualifications Framework Level 8 qualification, students may also have direct entry into postgraduate programs including Masters and Doctor of Philosophy programs.
